Didn't take them long to notch their first success.
The first encounter with immigrants trying to illegally entering the country was peaceful for volunteers of the Minuteman Project -- a month-long effort by citizens from around the country who plan to patrol the Mexican border for illegal crossers and smugglers.
U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Andy Adame said agents received a call about 1 p.m. Saturday about a group of suspected border crossers near Naco. When agents arrived, they apprehended 18 illegal crossers, he said.
This article is relatively even handed, but for the most part the press hates this so bad they can taste it. Watch for it, if an illegal so much as breaks a fingernail, they will have a 24/7 coniption fit.
Update: The total of illegals snared has risen to 118. The press continue there negative spin here. Before looking guess which news service, it's too easy.
