Meghan McCain to GOP after Sandy: Do you still doubt climate change?

If this fat clueless bimbo every has an intelligent thought I'll eat my hat.
Political analyst Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is challenging widespread GOP skepticism about climate change in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
“So are we still going to go with climate change not being real fellow republicans [sic]?” McCain wrote, via Twitter, around midnight as the storm was slamming ashore.

Both outlets look at a 2012 study by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on extreme weather and climate change.

That study finds that researchers currently have “low confidence” in tying cyclone activity in recent decades to climate change.

Breaking: Department of Labor might delay Friday jobs report until after the election?

Well how convenient is that?
The last big economic indicator left to see before the election is the October jobs report, which is due on Friday. Or is it?
The Department of Labor suggested this morning that the jobs report might be a little, er … delayed: The U.S. Labor Department on Monday said it hasn’t made a decision yet on whether to delay Friday’s October jobs report, the final reading on the labor market before next week’s federal elections.

A Labor official said the agency will assess the schedule for all its data releases this week when the “weather emergency” is over.

They’re not alone, either. The Census Bureau may hold off on its scheduled economic reports until next week. Construction spending was due on Thursday and probably wouldn’t have had any impact on the election, but the report on factory orders was also scheduled for Friday, and that might have had an impact on the general opinion of the state of manufacturing.

Pro-Obama vandals key Obama supporters’ cars

Obama supporters are at it againthis time keying “Obama” into the paint on cars. But the joke’s on them this time. Two of the keyed cars belong to Obama supporters. Oops. The vandalism happened Friday night outside a two homes with Romney campaign signs in Alta Loma, Calif.

The vandals keyed three cars and also slashed the seats in one of the vehicles. But Ken Slown and his wife, who own two of the cars, are actually out-of-work Obama supporters who are staying with the wife’s pro-Romney parents. “I don’t know if they were trying to get a point across, to vote for Obama, but to do something like this is not going to get the point across,” Slown told CBS2 in Los Angeles. The third vehicle is owned by a neighbor who does support Romney.

The quintessential definition of irony.

NEB Senate: Good News

Deb Fischer continues to hold a commanding lead in the race for U.S. Senate. Tuesday through Thursday track showed Fischer ahead of Bob Kerrey by a 16-point margin (55% Fischer – 39% Kerrey). She also has a solid edge among committed voters –46% of likely voters saythey are definitely voting for Fischer compared to 32% definitely voting for Kerrey. Good to see liberal Dinosaur Kerrey trailing badly.

Benghazigate: We Know Now Who Gave the Order Not to Protect the Consulate

Like an onion, the more layers that are peeled back, the more pungent the smell.
Charles Woods, the father of Tyrone Woods, said in an interview, “And apparently even the State Department had a live stream and was aware of their calls for help. This was my son, he wasn’t even there. He was at a safe house about a mile away. He got the distress call. He heard them crying for help. That’s why he and Glenn risked their lives to go that extra mile just to take care of the situation. And I’m sure that she wasn’t the only one that received that distress call: “Come save our lives.”
When I heard that there’s a very good chance that the White House as well as other members of the military knew what was going on, and obviously someone had to say, “Don’t go rescue them.” Because every person in the military, their first response is, “We’re going to go rescue them.” We need to find out who it was that gave that command.”

So who gave that command?
Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that three urgent requests from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate and subsequent attack nearly seven hours later were denied by officials in the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators to “stand down” rather than help the ambassador’s team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

Q3 GDP: 2.0%. Federal spending increased 9.6%.

Real gross domestic product --- the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States --- increased at an annual rate of 2.0 percent in the third quarter of 2012 (that is, from the second quarter to the third quarter), according to the "advance" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 1.3 percent.
The Bureau emphasized that the third-quarter advance estimate released today is based on source data that are incomplete or subject to further revision by the source agency (see box below). The "second" estimate for the third quarter, based on more complete data, will be released on November 29, 2012.[snip]

Real federal government consumption expenditures and gross investment increased 9.6 percent in the third quarter, in contrast to a decrease of 0.2 percent in the second. National defense increased 13.0 percent, in contrast to a decrease of 0.2 percent. Nondefense increased 3.0 percent, in contrast to a decrease of 0.4 percent.
Anyone wanna bet this figure ends up being revised down?

U.S. jobless claims fall 23,000 to 369,000

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Applications for U.S. unemployment benefits fell by 23,000 to a seasonally adjusted 369,000 in the week of Oct. 14-20, the Labor Department said Thursday, in line with market expectations. Initial claims from two weeks ago were revised up to 392,000 from an original reading of 388,000, based on more complete data collected at the state level.
New claims have jumped up and down over the past three weeks because of seasonal quirks and other technical problems with the government's weekly data, mainly involving the state of California. The four-week moving average, which smoothes out volatility in the weekly reports, was little changed, rising 1,500 to 368,000.
That's the 81st upward revision in 82 weeks. What are the odds?

McCain furious over Obama’s ‘snarky cheap shots,’ calls it ‘unpresidential’

If there was one word I'd use to describe Obama's performance last night it would indeed be "unpresidential".
Sen. John McCain (R-Ari.) blasted President Obama for his “snarky cheap shots” at Mitt Romney during Monday night’s debate, calling them “unpresidential.”
“The president had his snarky cheap shot remarks which are both unpresidential and not likeable,” McCain told "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday morning.

In particular, McCain pointed to one of the most talked about moments from the third and final presidential debate, in which Obama sarcastically responded to Romney’s criticism of the proposed $1 trillion in defense cuts from last year’s Budget Control Act and sequestration.

Donald Trump Ready to Drop 'Gigantic' Bombshell About Obama, Claims It Could Swing Election

Donald Trump has announced he has a “gigantic” bombshell about Barack Obama – and he’s going to drop it Wednesday!
The billionaire real estate tycoon has said he has something huge on President Obama …so huge it could swing the election.

Trump, a die hard Republican who considered running against Obama himself at one point, is planning to reveal the shocker via Twitter at some point on Wednesday, he said.

Trump told Fox & Friends on Monday that he had “something very, very big concerning the president of the United States. “It's going to be very big. I know one thing - you will cover it in a very big fashion.”
Just 3 words.....We shall see.

Hillary Clinton Plays Fall Guy On Libya, But Buck Stops At Obama

Less than a month before elections, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took one for the Obama team, declaring that she bore "full responsibility" for the absence of security at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, ahead of Sept. 11's terrorist attack that left a U.S. envoy and three other Americans dead.
Nice try, but the buck stops at the president.

Clinton's statement was obviously political. Making it from a "women's empowerment conference" in faraway Lima, Peru, her claim to be "fully responsible" for the security failure during the 9/11 terror attack at the Benghazi consulate, which killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, was about taking heat off President Obama, whose re-election effort is floundering over responsibility for this very issue.

Michelle Obama's Desperate Plea For Votes

Begging for votes by the First Lady is unseemly at best.
Just 18 days from election day, the Obama campaign is beginning the final push for votes in the most critical "fire wall" swing states on their electoral map. To that end, First Lady Michelle Obama gave a rousing and impassioned speech in Racine, WI last night to a fervent and committed crowd of core supporters.
The speech, and the First Lady's delivery, was at times shrill and desperate as false straw man after false straw man was hoisted up before the devoted crowd only to be struck down by Mrs. Obama with passionate force. "Don't let anybody talk down your country!" she implored the crowd, not specifically citing any example of how her husband's opponents have done such a thing.

Instead of just focusing on the positive and personal traits of her husband, Mrs. Obama spent most of the 34 minute sermon on policy issues.
She doesn't want to give up all the taxpayer financed freebies.

Obama Benefited Financially from the Auto Bailout

Just more rank hypocrisy from the Marxist in Chief.
"Today, deputy campaign manger Stephanie Cutter and the Obama campaign were pushing an article in The Nation saying that Romney - who opposed bailing out the auto industry as carried out by Obama - actually made $15.3 million from the bailout through a $1 million investment with a hedge fund firm that put cash into GM supplier Delphi," the Columbus Dispatch reports. "'He was against the auto bailout...but personally [benefited] from it,' Cutter said, calling that 'hypocrisy.' (Actually it's called doing the righteous thing) 'It’s just an example of what’s good for Mitt Romney might not be good for everybody else. He plays by a different set of rules.'"

But Cutter did not mention how Obama himself financially benefited from the federally financed auto bailout he supported. Obama, from his time as an Illinois state senator, is invested in the Illinois pension fund.
Obama has between $50,000-$100,000 invested in the Illinois General Assembly Defined Pension Benefit Plan, according to financial disclosure forms.

And that pension fund is invested in the Delphi Corporation...

Quote of the Day

Michelle Malkin on Fox & Friends: "Women need to think with their lady smarts not their lady parts."

U.S. jobless claims climb 46,000 to 388,000

But Obama says the economy is "rapidly improving".
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Applications for U.S. unemployment benefits jumped 46,000 to a seasonally adjusted 388,000 in the week of Oct. 7-13, the Labor Department said Thursday, erasing the sharp drop from the prior week. Claims had fallen two weeks ago to a four-year low, but the decline mainly stemmed from a statistical quirk in the data that often happens at the end of a quarter and it was not reflective of a rapidly improving labor market.
Initial claims from two weeks ago were revised up to 342,000 from an original reading of 339,000, based on more complete data collected at the state level. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch expected claims to rise to 365,000 in the most recent week. The average of new claims over the past month, meanwhile, edged up by 750 to 365,500.

Clinton's Excuse: 'Fog of War' to Blame for Misinformation from Susan Rice on Libya

All this while Obama comfortably hides behind his "Secretary's" skirt.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the reason the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, gave misinformation to the American people is because of the "fog of war." According to the notes of Wendell Goler of Fox News, here's what Clinton had to say:
Clinton's excuse for Rice is because the U.N. ambassador went on five Sunday talk shows and said in several different ways that the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya "grew out of a protest" outside the American consulate there.

That is not at all what happened. Apparently the fog of war was too thick for Rice to accurately say what happened there. In fact, the State Department now says there was no protest at all outside the consulate there.

Global Climate Warming Stopped 15 Years Ago, UK Met Office Admits

Any bets that the MSM will pick this up? I'll give 20:1 against.
Despite playing a key role in advancing climate change hysteria, the United Kingdom’s National Weather Service, known as the Met Office, quietly released a report last week conceding that so-called “global warming” actually stopped more than 15 years ago. The startling admission shows once again that United Nations theories and climate models are wildly inaccurate at best, experts say, meaning multi-trillion dollar schemes to deal with alleged human-caused “climate change” are at the very least severely misguided.
According to the latest UK Met Office report, first reported by the Daily Mail, there has been no noticeable increase in global temperatures since early 1997. The alleged warming trend supposedly observed from 1980 to 1996 was about as long as the current “plateau” period, the paper reported. Prior to that, climate scientists admit, global temperatures had been stable or dropping for decades, a fact that prompted previous generations of climate alarmists to sound the alarm about the supposed dangers of man-made “global cooling.”

Florida Poll: Ryan clear winner over Biden

It appears that the majority of Floridians watched the same debate I did.
1,000 Tampa area adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA about last night's Vice Presidential debate. Of the adults, 704 watched the debate. Results of debate watchers:
* 38% say Joe Biden clearly won the debate.
* 42% say Paul Ryan clearly won the debate.
* 20% say there was no clear winner.

13% say they changed which candidate for President they support as a result of the debate. Of those who tell SurveyUSA they changed their mind:

* 44% switched from the Obama ticket to the Romney ticket.
* 29% switched from undecided to the Romney ticket.
* A total of 73% switched to the Romney ticket.

Ohio coal miners to Obama: Stop lying

He's far too proficient at it to stop.
Coal miners at the American Energy Corp. Century Mine said they want President Barack Obama to stop what they term the war on coal – and to stop spreading mistruths about them.
Miners gathered Friday afternoon to express their opposition to Obamas energy and environmental policies, which they believe threaten their jobs. Miner Mitch Miracle read aloud a letter the miners mailed to Obama that outlines some of their concerns.

Hillary Clinton reveals what REALLY led to Benghazi massacre - and demolishes White House claim

This could get interesting.
The State Department has said that it never believed the September 11th attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was the result of a protest over an anti-Islam movie -directly contracting the rest of the Obama administration. By trying to distance her department from the inept and deceptive handling of the Benghazi attack, which left U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens and three other American officials dead, Hillary Clinton could help herself politically for a 2016 presidential run.

Did Stephanie Cutter Just Win The Foreign Policy Debate For Romney?

Life is only important to the Obama administration if it helps their cause.
In case you haven’t seen the video, watch it. Drink it in. Obama campaign Deputy Communications Director Stephanie Cutter, in a craven and flailing attempt to salvage the White House’s ebbing credibility surrounding their response to the 9/11/12 attacks in Libya, said that it was her estimation that the attacks were only an issue because Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan made it one.
In effect, Cutter said that this attack, one of the most comprehensive and successful Al Qaeda attacks on American assets since September 11, 20001 in which an American ambassador overseas was killed for the first time since the Carter administration, was only on the media’s radar because it is an election year. Stephanie Cutter has just provided Mitt Romney a stronger argument against President Barack Obama’s handling of foreign affairs he could have hoped for. In a single bound, Cutter revealed the administration’s thinking about how to respond to this deadly attack – it is not about American security, it is about politics. Fair or not, that is how Romney will frame Cutter’s glib remark.

Darden Restaurants Cut Workers' Hours to Avoid Paying Health Care Coverage

And the inevitable flood of unintended consequences begins.
Darden Restaurants has stopped offering full-time schedules to many hourly workers in a few of its Olive Garden, Red Lobster and LongHorn Steakhouse eateries.
Darden is reportedly taking the action to avoid the Affordable Care Act, which is scheduled to go into effect in 2014, reports Fox 35 (video below).

Under that law, also known as Obamacare, companies must provide affordable health insurance to employees working an average of at least 30 hours per week. Latest Rasmussen Swing State Poll

Add the "enthusiasm dfferential" and you've got real problems if you're Obama.
In the 11 swing states, Mitt Romney earns 49% support to Obama’s 47%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided. This is the first time Romney has led the daily Swing State Survey since September 19. Until today, the president had led for 17 of the previous 19 days, and the candidates had been tied twice.
This survey is based on findings from the previous seven days, with most of the responses now coming since Romney’s debate win last Wednesday night.

Forty-six percent (46%) of these Swing State voters are now “certain” they will vote for Romney and will not change their minds. Forty percent (40%) are certain they will vote for the president.

Bombshell: Obama.com Owned by Bundler in Shanghai with Business Ties to Chinese Government

Obama might wanna stop the latest ad campaign against Romney accusing him and Bain Capital of ties to China lest he look like a hypocrite. (extreme sarcasm)
In an explosive report set to send shockwaves through official Washington, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) released a 108-page GAI investigation into the threat of foreign and fraudulent Internet campaign donations in U.S. federal elections (visit campaignfundingrisks.com to download the full report).
Breitbart News obtained an advance copy of the bombshell report which reveals that the Obama.com website is not owned by the president’s campaign but rather by Obama bundler Robert Roche, a U.S. citizen living in Shanghai, China. Roche is the chairman of a Chinese infomercial company, Acorn International, with ties to state-controlled banks that allow it to “gain revenue through credit card transactions with Chinese banks.”

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Appears the post debate "bounce" is beginning to show up.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided. These results are based upon nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, only about two-thirds of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the presidential debate. Sunday morning’s update will be the first national polling based entirely upon post-debate interviews.

REPORT: Obama Camp Threatens NAACP Official

It's the Chicago way don'tcha know.
The Illinois political director of President Barack Obama’s campaign allegedly threatened a Chicago NAACP official because he did not support Obama’s reelection campaign.David Lowery, the president of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP, alleged to CBS Chicago that Louis Raymond, the Obama official, threatened him during a phone call because Lowery did not support Obama. Lowery felt Obama did not adequately address the concerns and issues of the black community.
You know what? I know everything about you,” Raymond allegedly said, according Lowery. “We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you.

Lowery filed a report with local police “in case something happens.”

The First Debate

What Romney did to Obama tonight.

Romney was like a surgeon with a scalpel. He was crisp, clear, concise and Presidential with his responses cutting Obama up piece by piece.

Obama was visibly uncomfortable, shaky, uniformed, hesitant, rambling, verbose and amateurish. All debate he looked like a cat that had gotten ahold of a sour mouse.

FBI still not been granted permission to visit Benghazi consulate

Is there any doubt that the Obama administration has told the Lybian govt. to stall as long as possible?
FBI agents have still not been granted permission to visit the consulate building where the American ambassador to Libya was killed, three weeks after the attack by militants in the eastern city of Benghazi.
An FBI team was dispatched to Libya within days of the attack, in which three other Americans died. But they have been forced to remain in Tripoli as American and Libyan officials argue over the terms under which the two sides will co-operate in the investigation.

The consulate building itself and the accommodation annexe which also came under attack have been left largely unsecured.

Obama Increased Foreign Aid 80%; Spent 76% More on Foreign Aid Than Border Security

Glaring example of Obama's "wealth distribution".
From fiscal 2008 to fiscal 2011, according to the U.S. Treasury, the federal government increased spending on foreign aid by 80 percent and, in fiscal 2011, spent 76 percent more on foreign aid than it did securing the borders of the United States. In fiscal 2008, the government spent a total of $11.427 billion in international assistance programs, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement. In fiscal 2011, according to the statement, it spent $20.599 billion—an increase of $9.172 billion, or 80 percent, from 2008.

MASSIVE DECLINE IN DEMOCRAT VOTER REGISTRATION IN 8 SWING STATES

No more ACORN, tighter anti-fraud regs, disenchanted liberal electorate, all of the above?
Democratic drop in Ohio voter registrations mirrors a nationwide trend. In fact, Democratic voter registration in 8 swing states outnumbers Republican decline by a 10-to-1 ratio.
FOX News reported:

“Don’t boo, vote,” President Obama often says in his stump speech whenever crowds boo a Romney plan.

The off-hand call to vote may be by design. It comes amid a precipitous decline in Democratic voter registration in key swing states — nowhere more apparent than in Ohio.

Voter registration in the Buckeye State is down by 490,000 people from four years ago. Of that reduction, 44 percent is in Cleveland and surrounding Cuyahoga County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one."

Poll Shows GOP With Enthusiasm Advantage

This fact will be very difficult to reflect in the polls.
Republicans hold a substantial enthusiasm edge over Democrats as President Obama and Mitt Romney prepare to face off in their first head-to-head debate on Wednesday in Denver. According to a new USA Today/Gallup poll, 64 percent of Republicans say they are more enthusiastic than usual about voting, while 48 percent of Democrats say the same.
