Six Connecticut priests face possible removal over dispute

And the Episcopal hierarchy continues to pay for a very bad decision. Is it any wonder that the rank and file, the priests are having a hard time accepting a gay bishop, one mind you that makes ludicrous statements such as "Jesus may have been gay".

Anyone pushing for a "liberal" pope should pay special heed to what's happening here. It's a blueprint for irrelevance. The very policies implimented by these pseudo intellectual bureaucrats to entice new membership is fracturing the entire Episcopal foundation and driving people away.

(Hartford-AP, Apr. 9, 2005 10:50 AM) _ Episcopal priests at sixchurches in Connecticut are being warned they may be removed from their parishes next week because they oppose the church's first openly gay bi Bishop Andrew Smith says the priests have, quote, "abandoned the communion of the church."

If anyone has abandoned the communion of the church, it's the pinhead neo lib dictators who insisted on installing an openly gay Bishop contrary to Gods law and church tenants.

If the dimwits calling the shots indeed have motives which are altruistic and they sincerely believe that ordained openly gay persons ought to be in positions of leadership, let them start their own church. They can then knock themselves out establishing church law based on their personal warped and misguided interpretations of the bible and divine intent. If, however, these moves were banal and only to bolster sagging membership, they would be well advised to reconsider the decision considering it's having an effect opposite of what was intended.

The Catholic church have maintained a conservative leadership for 30 years and swelled membership by millions. The Episcopalians have embraced liberal philosophies and are on the verge of implosion. Nuff said.
