In fact, the CBS/New York Timespoll found that only 19% of Americans feel we are safer from terrorist attack now that Saddam's been captured. As the Seelye and Toner reported, 60% said the terrorist threat is about the same. As the Times's neglected to mention, however, 18% feel the terrorist threat is greater — meaning that roughly 4 out of 5 Americans agree with Howard Dean. (12/17/2003 McCrory)

4 out of 5 Americans agreed with Howard Dean yet he couldn't pull one state in the Democrat primary. Public sentiments change, strong leaders remain resolute.
