Sandy Berger alias "Sammi the Burglar" really made some extraordinary admissions.
1. Admits he lied to archive officials. (And most everyone else)
2. Admits that the "taking" of the documents was intentional (not a mistake as originally claimed.)
3. Admits he purposefully destroyed classified documents.
Granted the penalty is somewhat less than a slap on the wrist, but with these confessions, damage to his reputation and future political aspirations is undeniable. This wasn't jaywalking, and even though the sentence is about par with that sort of infraction the stigma attached to what he did is a great deal more burdensome.
