The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The left again shows us how pettiness and political advantage trump conscience and principal as Henry "Nostrils" Waxman bemoans the use of Congessional supoena power to buy Terri Schiavo time.

WASHINGTON - Rep. Thomas M. Davis III, a key player in House efforts to block the removal of Terry Schiavo's feeding tube yesterday, said he issued subpoenas to preserve evidence for a congressional investigation.

"This will allow us to fully understand the procedures and practices that are currently keeping her alive," he said yesterday.

Waxman contended the subpoenas "were issued unilaterally by Tom Davis, acting at the request of the Republican leadership. There was no vote and no opportunity to debate the issue in committee. The process was a perversion of democracy."

The only "perversion of Democracy" is allowing an appointed judge to usurp the authority of an elected representative.
