Chavez Casts Himself as the Anti-Bush

And this is going to hurt Bush? Chavez is a ruthless communist and thug who has already made use of a dictarorial iron hand to confiscate private property severely restrict personal and press freedoms, and nationalize business. The "darling" of the left will remain popular with 15% or 20% of the hard core fringe, but the novelty will soon wear off as his actions betray his true Stalinist nature.

CARACAS, Venezuela -- President Hugo Chavez has recently accused President Bush of plotting to assassinate him, made suggestive comments about Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, visited Fidel Castro in Cuba, bashed the United States on the al-Jazeera television network and traveled to Libya to receive an award from Moammar Gaddafi.

In a recent televised speech, Chavez described the arms purchases and a plan to increase army reserve troops as "an honorable answer to President Bush's intention of being the master of the world."

This neo Castro wanna be will be exposed for what he is. As he continues to consolidate power through control, personal freedoms will disappear. The nature of any communist regime is repression, it's the essential ingredient to maintain order. Look for this to increase steadily as the people become less and less enamored with this tyrant in sheeps clothing.
