The conservative wing of the Republican party is not only not jumping on the McCain bandwagon they are doing everything in their power to despoke it's wheels.
Rush Limbaugh was the first when he stated that he would likely not support the Republican nominee if it turns out to be McCain. James Dobson has said essentitially the same thing.
Last night Ann Coulter shocked many by stating unequivocally that she would campaign and vote for Hillary Clinton if McCain was the Republican nominee.
And after bashing McCain on H&C last night one of our favorite Senators, Rick Santorum, came out forcefullyfor Romney.
Will this have a cumulative effect? Who knows but one thing for sure, a significant number of core conservatives will sit out this election if McCain wins the nomination and I personally believe that number will NOT be offset by a pick up of moderates.
