Vitriolic Byrd Calls

Robert Byrd resorted to calling Republican attempts to prevent the stonewalling of judicial nominees Hitlerlike. It's becoming an all too commonplace event for the loony left to refer to people they disagree with as Nazis, Hitlers, Storm Troopers and Brownshirts.

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans are game to see several of President Bush's
judicial nominees confirmed for the bench but Democrats oppose many of them. On
Tuesday, Sen. Robert Byrd (search) compared
Republican tactics on nominees to Adolph Hitler's use of power in Nazi Germany.

It's the last desperate accusation of a liberal out of persuasive arguments, a high office holders vicious version of "Yea, says you!"
